Doordarshan will telecast live the Mangala, Shringaar, Rajbhog, Sandhya, and Shayan Aartis offered to the Ram Lalla idol at the Ayodhya Ram temple on DD National, connecting devotees who can't visit the temple.

Devotees of Lord Ram can now experience the divine morning Aarti at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir from the comfort of their homes. National broadcaster Doordarshan has announced the daily live telecast of the morning prayers offered to the Ram Lalla idol.

Live broadcast of Ayodhya Ram Mandir Aarti

Doordarshan will broadcast the Mangala, Shringaar, Rajbhog, Sandhya, and Shayan Aartis offered to the Ram Lalla idol at the Ayodhya Ram temple on DD National.

The announcement, shared on X (formerly Twitter), confirms that the morning aarti will be broadcast live on DD National every morning starting at 6:30 AM. This initiative aims to connect devotees with Lord Ram, especially those unable to visit the temple in person following its grand inauguration just two months ago. The Aarti will also be streamed simultaneously on DD’s YouTube channel.

This decision was made in conjunction with the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, as the Trust currently lacks the logistical infrastructure for a live broadcast. To facilitate the coverage, DD will deploy a small crew of two to three members to the temple premises to capture the daily ritual.

Initially, DD will broadcast the "Mangala aarti" for a period of months. Subsequently, the Ram Temple Trust will evaluate the arrangement and determine the future course of action.

Aarti Schedule at the Ayodhya Ram Temple

The Ayodhya Ram temple observes six Aartis daily:

  • Mangala Aarti: 4:30 AM
  • Shringaar Aarti: 6:30 AM
  • Rajbhog Aarti: 12:00 PM
  • Utthapan Aarti: 2:00 PM
  • Sandhya Aarti: 7:00 PM
  • Shayan Aarti: 10:00 PM

The temple trust has issued guidelines for devotees attending the Aartis: entry for the Mangala Aarti (4:00 AM), Shringar Aarti (6:15 AM), and Shayan Aarti (10:00 PM) requires an entry pass. No passes are necessary for the remaining Aartis.

Advisory for Temple Visitors

The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust has also released an advisory for devotees planning to visit the temple:

  • The temple is open for Darshan from 6:30 AM to 9:30 PM.
  • The Darshan process is streamlined, typically taking devotees 60 to 75 minutes from entry to exit.
  • Devotees are encouraged to leave mobile phones, footwear, purses, and other personal items outside the temple premises for convenience and to expedite the process.
  • Bringing flowers, garlands, or Prasad to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir is discouraged.
