Vicky Kaushal recently discussed his relationship with his wife, actress Katrina Kaif, particularly regarding how they critique each other's work. He shared that Katrina Kaif offers direct, unfiltered opinions on his performances, which he appreciates.
During a conversation with Kareena Kapoor Khan for The Hollywood Reporter India, Vicky Kaushal explained, "She is very honest. She will say how it is. But sometimes, she will be a little careful because whatever it is, there is a lot of hard work that has gone into it. You have to be sensitive towards that... but mostly she is straightforward, which I actually love. After a film screening, it is very rare to find that kind of feedback — this was good, this was bad, this you could have done better."
While Vicky Kaushal values Katrina's honesty, he acknowledged that she prefers a more gentle approach when receiving feedback herself. "It’s the same over here. She wouldn’t want that either. First step has to be encouragement," he said, agreeing with Kareena Kapoor Khan, who expressed similar sentiments about her husband, Saif Ali Khan.
This isn't the first time Vicky Kaushal has spoken about Katrina Kaif's straightforward nature. In a previous interview with Bombay Times Lounge, he mentioned, "It becomes difficult to be objective when two people are together. She is able to give me that third-person perspective when it comes to my creative thoughts... Sometimes, she is too honest. I keep telling her to sometimes sugarcoat. She is very honest."
Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif married in 2021 after a period of dating. On the professional front, Vicky Kaushal is preparing for Love and War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Katrina Kaif is currently focused on her beauty brand and has yet to announce any new acting ventures.
